Packaging and logistics company Benchmark Promotional Support Services has taken a 180,000 sq ft warehouse at MEPC’s Hillington Park, Glasgow on a ten year lease.
The new facility will help service clients such as the Edrington Group, makers of “The Famous Grouse” whisky.
Benchmark is relocating from the former Shanks Sanitaryware works in Barrhead, which it had occupied for 12 years, to Stephenson Street in Hillington Park.
Benchmark director Russell Cohen said: “Our packaging business needs large areas of warehousing space, and we identified this building at Hillington Park as ideally suited for our purposes. Its space and facilities, transport and access are all good. The deal was also good, and the time was right for us to expand in anticipation of additional work later in the year.”
