Ossian Retail Group subsidiary Au Naturale, has pre-let a 157,689 sq ft warehouse at Eurocentral in Scotland to facilitate its ongoing expansion.
As one of the UK’s fastest growing retailers the Glasgow-based group will use the facility as a base for its expansion across the UK.
The company has taken a 17-year lease at a rent of £5.25 per sq ft on the unit, which will be split into 152,364 sq ft of warehouse space and 5,325 sq ft of office space.
The property will boast an eaves height of 12m with 14 dock levellers and two ground level access doors. It will have a floor loading of 50kN/sq m and is designed to accommodate 19,000 pallets.
In addition, it will have a 48m deep yard with 75 car parking spaces and is capable of expansion of up to 30,000 sq ft. The build programme is 32 weeks.
Graham Clements of Ossian said: “This move is an integral part of our expansion plans. It will feed our growing retail outlet network across the UK and we expect the project to be complete by September this year. It will also provide jobs for over 160 staff.”
Au Naturale has 82 outlets across the UK in addition to Internaçionale’s 69 stores, as well as 15 concessions within Internaçionale. Ossian employs more than 2,700 people in the UK and has a turnover of £125 million, up 11 per cent from 2005.
