Food industry logistics specialist Atchison Topeka has agreed a 130,000 sq ft pre-let at Stoford Development’s 80-acre Stonebridge Cross in Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire.
Atchison Topeka has agreed a 15-year lease for Plot 301 at a rent of £4.90 per sq ft. The building will total 130,000 sq ft with 7,000 sq ft of open plan offices on two levels. There will be 81 car parking spaces as well as room for 63 lorries.
The company will be relocating from its existing Worcester base to the new site, which incorporates temperature-controlled, food-grade warehousing and quality office accommodation within a spacious, landscaped environment. A total of 100 people will be employed including 20 new jobs.
Stoford is now considering speculatively developing the remainder of the site with a further 225,000 sq ft of warehousing during 2007.
In another deal, Stoford, together with LaSalle UK Ventures, has acquired the second phase of Vale Park, Evesham, Worcestershire from Cirrus Properties and Barberry Developments. The site totals some 40 acres net developable and has outline consent for 850,000 sq ft of office, industrial and warehouse accommodation.
Initial infrastructure and development works are scheduled for early 2007, with the first completed units due to come to market by early 2008.
