Scott Timber has taken a controlling interest in returnable transit packaging company European Logistics Management. The deal will provide the pallet manufacturer with the logistics infrastructure it needs and will increase its pallet repair and repatriation service. Taking a stake in the company will also help Scott branch out into the European market, as ELM has a network spanning across many European countries.
ELM will gain access to Scott’s wide customer base, enabling it to grow beyond its £3million turnover.
John Scott, managing director, said: “No other company is able to offer a one-stop-shop for all the customers’ pallet requirements including design and maintenance of the packaging pool as well as an international reverse logistics network to facilitate recovery and re-use.”
