Import Services adds Imagination
Imagination Games, maker of interactive entertainment games including Mecca Bingo, which features the voice of actor Ricky Tomlinson, has signed a logistics contract with Import Services.
Import Services will operate the logistics for Imagination Games’ full range of products comprising Mecca Bingo, Family Fortunes and The Brain Game. It is launching new products in July including The Tetris Cube, Dancing Stage and Snipe-It electronic game.
It will provide warehousing and distribution services, which include receiving, put-away, inventory control, picking, packing, and same-day shipping to many major nationwide retailers.
Steve Reece, UK and Europe commercial director for Imagination Games, said: “We needed a specialist third party logistics firm to move our products into the UK efficiently, a provider which could develop with us and keep up with the demand for our products. Our business is growing so fast we’ll be bigger than any non-corporate company for games in the UK by the end of 2008.
“Imagination Games was impressed with Import Services’ major clients and its extensive knowledge of the toy and gift industry. The professional team and the fact that the company moves products similar to ours to many of the same retailers means its services are also very cost effective,” continued Mr Reece.
