Gladman Developments has won planning permission for a speculative 215,000 sq ft industrial and distribution development, just off the A1 near Grantham in Lincolnshire.
The Cheshire-based industrial and office developer has acquired a 10 acre site in an off market deal at Gonerby Moor, about 150 yards from the North Grantham junction of the A1 (with the B1174) and plans to start work on the G-Space 215 unit.
The 215,000 sq ft warehouse complex is expected to have an end development value of £15 million and help to create up to 200 new jobs. It will be available both freehold and leasehold with a quoting rent of £4.50 per sq ft.
Budworth Brown advised Gladman Developments on the land purchase and will be retained as joint agent with Burbage Realty to market the development.
According to David Owen of Budworth Brown, the upgrading of the junctions of the A1 will make the trunk road an even more desirable location for logistics operators. He said: “Taking out the roundabouts and introducing slip roads on the A1 junctions between Peterborough and Doncaster will improve traffic flows.”
