NYK Logistics has opened a distribution centre at Aveley near South Ockenden in Essex to improve network coverage in the South East of England.
Located on a one acre site on Stifford Road, the 28,000 sq ft facility expands NYK’s national network of regional distribution platforms.
This is the latest phase in the development of NYK’s national multi-user network. Adrian Tomlinson, director of operational support, said: “The new site provides us with a strategic platform which will enable us to support our existing customers better and continue to attract new ones, providing opportunities for existing staff as well as new employment opportunities for local people.”
