Steve Allen has resigned as CEO of Nightfreight to pursue interests outside the group.
Chairman Tim Redburn said: “Over the past 12 months Steve has been instrumental in implementing the group’s strategy which has resulted in good growth in difficult trading conditions. However Steve has taken the decision that, moving forward, the business would benefit from a more operationally focussed CEO– a decision the Group has supported.”
John Aspin, a non executive director at Nightfreight, will replace him as CEO with immediate effect.
John held this role in 2005, prior to Steve’s appointment, and helped develop the group’s current strategy.
