Brooks Brothers has chosen PB Logistics as its logistics partner when it expands its retail operations in the UK.
The US fashion group is opening stores in Edinburgh, Manchester, Dublin and Oxford, adding to its current sites in Regent Street and the City of London.
Brooks Brothers chose PB Logistics (formerly Peter Black Distribution) for its experience in the fashion retail market, particularly for its expertise in the import of product, pre-retailing processing and warehousing and distribution.
“PB Logistics gives our business flexible and scalable solutions that perfectly complements our ongoing expansion programme,” said John Hind, managing director of Brooks Brothers UK.
“With our premium product requirements, clear customer focus and agreed store development plan for the UK and Irish markets, PB Logistics was the best choice as our total logistics service provider. They provide a fully integrated logistics capability for our business with end-to-end solutions from importing to distribution, storage and processing solutions.”
Gary Cann, commercial director at PB Logistics, said: “Fashion retail is extremely fast moving and we know that getting stock to stores at the right time is critical to a retailer’s success. “Our service to Brooks Brothers is a ‘white glove’ operation, handling high quality, high value goods from origin to daily store replenishment across their entire product range.”
PB Logistics has sites at Sheffield, Leeds, Wakefield, Keighley and Leicester totalling over two million square feet. With operations in China, India and Hong Kong, PB Logistics can offer end-to-end tracking from factory gate to store or distribution centre.
