Masternaut has launched a campaign to help fleet operators reduce their carbon footprint. The vehicle tracking company’s GreenerFleet system includes technical developments which promise to further improve the environmental efficiency of UK fleets.
The company is also developing a live carbon calculator which will monitor the known carbon output per km for each vehicle and combine it with its existing vehicle mileage tracking system, providing daily, weekly or monthly carbon footprint figures for each vehicle and driver.
One of the aims of GreenerFleet is to help companies meet the requirements for ISO 14001 accreditation, which recognises companies who show a commitment to improving their environmental performance.
