The iForce team at the Bromford Gate site in Birmingham has won Team of the Year Award at this year’s UK Warehouse Association Awards.
Warehouse Person of the Year was won by Paul Stokes, warehouse distribution manager, Amethyst Group. Somar International won the Technology and Innovation of the Year Award sponsored by Redirack, for its Powerboss Eluma intelligent lighting. The award for Warehouse Member of the Year went to MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company. Trainee of the Year was Terri Woodhall of Chaucer Freight.
The UKWA Chairman’s Award went to two of the longest standing members: John Cooper from Storage UK and Elisabeth Denby of Denby Transport. John Cooper is a past president of the International Federation of Warehousing & Logistics Association. Elisabeth Denby has served on the UKWA’s executive council since 1999.
The award for Journalist of the Year, sponsored by Schmitz Cargobull, went to Logistics Manager editor Malory Davies.
