Batteries are a green alternative to diesel engines, in the running of forklifts with total component recovery of 83.6 per cent – the lead being the greatest in terms of weight and value.
CMP Batteries has launched a product rating classification system for its range of batteries and chargers. Products are rated on energy usage and recyclability. The energy rating is based on labour, carbon dioxide emissions and water consumption. Recyclability is measured by life expectancy and the percentage of the product that can be recycled.
