Kuehne + Nagel saw sales rise 14.7 per cent to £4.03 billion (CHF10bn) for the first half of 2007 but EBITDA rose more slowly, 12.6 per cent, to £189 million (CHF468m).
Contract logistics showed 21.6 per cent growth in turnover for the first half of 2007, reflecting the increasing demand for global logistics providers that operate at high levels of process and IT standardisation. The operational result improved by 15.1 per cent, with the EBITDA margin at 5.1 per cent.
Chief executive Klaus Herms said: “The key drivers are our global capabilities, efficient logistics infrastructure, and the integrated business model, which provides the group with significant cross-selling opportunities.”
l Business Post’s group revenues for the first quarter of the financial year increased by 13 per cent on the equivalent period last year. The parcels business was making progress in an increasingly competitive market, it said.
