Innovate Logistics plans to re-locate the Alcester depot to Aston – a newer larger site in Birmingham, offering its customers a wider range of services including cold storage, chilled storage, case picking and cross dock distribution on a much larger scale.
The 200 staff employed at the Alcester site will be offered alternative employment at the new site. However, Innovate said it recognised that this might not be feasible for all employees and it is proposing to work with another two 3PL providers to take the site in Alcester which could also support the employment situation.
