Turners (Soham) has started fitting NECK-IT units to its vehicles to help tackle the increasing problem of fuel theft from commercial vehicles. The decision to use the units manufactured by TruckProtect, followed sporadic instances of fuel theft experienced by Turners’ vehicles in lay-bys and service areas.
One hundred Turners vehicles have already been fitted with the devices and each new vehicle joining the extensive fleet as others are replaced will come equipped with the device. These include the 40 trucks currently on order from local DAF dealer, The Marshall Group, which is working with TruckProtect to market the anti-fuel theft units in Cambridgeshire.
