Geodis UK has formed a partnership with Swiss distribution firm Hoco Logistics enabling it to provide additional twice-weekly direct services between the UK and Switzerland under the banner of the Eurofirst groupage product.
Jamie Cuthbert, managing director of Geodis UK, said: “The greater reach and frequency that this new relationship will enable are further evidence of our commitment to providing our customers with the best possible product and service at a competitive price.
The news follows the recent realignment of Geodis group’s operational structure, following the acquisition of TFM and the creation of Geodis Wilson. “Domestic arms of the Geodis organisation are focussing their activity much closer to home with a particular emphasis on short-distance road freight. France and Germany are key markets for Geodis UK within this context and Switzerland is obviously another extremely important area for us. We look forward to working together with HOCO Logistics to further enhance our offering in the region,” said Cuthbert.
