John Allan is leaving DHL Logistics in Bracknell to become chief financial officer of Deutsche Post World Net based in Bonn. Allan is currently a member of the Deutsche Post World Net executive management board and responsible for logistics. He will also take over Global Business Services, the group’s shared services such as IT, Procurement, Real Estate, and Legal Services.
The group said: “Allan is well connected and highly respected in the London financial community and is well known and recognised for steering an organisation close to capital markets expectations. He will assume the responsibility for Deutsche Post World Net’s new capital markets strategy, which will be presented to the market on 8th November.”
Frank Appel will take over as head of the Logistics division in Bracknell from 1st October. He ran the DHL Logistics business prior to the Exel acquisition and is currently on the executive management board in charge of Global Business Services, Mail International and Global Customer Solutions.
