Foodservice distributor, Freshfayre has signed up for BCP’s Accord Voice WMS for its central warehouse operation in Leeds. BCP reckons the biggest benefits of voice picking are obtained in low margin, high volume, labour intensive case picking operations and, because of this, the foodservice industry and grocery retailers and wholesalers are leading the way in adopting the technology.
Freshfayre’s is investing in new systems to meet rapid growth. The investment includes BCP’s full stand-alone Accord Voice activated WMS to handle all key warehouse operations, including stock taking, goods receiving, pallet movements as well as picking. The 12 user system will be implemented towards the end of this year and will integrate to Freshfayre’s other IT systems.
