Express operator GeoPost has taken a lease of a 40,650 sq ft unit at Tannochside Park, Uddingston on the M74 south-east of Glasgow from Keiller Edinburgh.
The three-year lease is at a rent of £213,413 a year, equating to £5.25 per sq ft. Iain Davidson, director of logistics and industrial at Colliers CRE, which acted jointly with Jones Lang LaSalle, said: “GeoPost’s commitment to Tannochside is a reflection of the increasing importance this area has in providing strategically located facilities to a range of different businesses. The level of rent achieved sets a new tone for second hand space of this size and highlights once again the strength of the current industrial market.”
