Schenker has shipped fifteen vintage Bentleys to Durban for the 6th Vintage Bentley Tour of South Africa.
Each car is worth thousands of pounds. All were accompanied by their owner/drivers who assisted in loading them into individual 20ft containers at Tilbury. The cars range from 3 and 4.5 litre machines right through to 6.5 and 8 litre vehicles.
“These are very precious machines and we have been working on the project since February,” states Mark Woolnough, Schenker’s UK ocean freight commercial manager. “We had to load each of the cars separately and once the rally is complete we will also be handling the return – some back to the UK and some onwards to New Zealand”.
