TDG has been selected to operate the warehouse and transport operation for Spanish adhesives and sealants manufacturer Gymcol following a three way tender.
The open book contract is worth 375,000 euros a year for five years. It includes finished goods warehousing, picking and delivery and is now live, following a smooth implementation programme.
Gymcol, based in Valencia, had previously operated its warehouse in-house, but following a massive fire and the subsequent commissioning of a new facility, it opted to outsource this business to a professional logistics supplier, in order to concentrate efforts towards core sales and manufacturing.
“We are growing fast in China and Brazil, and we wanted a company with not just the core competencies, but the flexibility to grow with us,” said Santiago Enguídanos, general manager of Gymcol. “TDG has the skills and track record to improve the professionalism of our logistics.”
