CitySprint, the UK’s largest privately owned same day courier network, has taken over Axa Courier Express.
CitySprint has a seven per cent share of the UK same day courier market and the acquisition of Axa will further strengthen CitySprint’s position in the industry.
Axa provides same day courier services to businesses in and around the Heathrow area. The acquisition will mean that the Axa Courier Express name and brand will be discontinued.
Michael Blanchard, regional manager for CitySprint, says: “Axa represents one of a small number of well-established same day courier companies in the Heathrow area. Its business model fits very comfortably with CitySprint’s, as it operates with a highly focused customer service ethos”.
