The fleet comprises a mixture of 480 and 520 bhp ratings in the Globetrotter XL “Prestige” trim-cabbed six by two tractors. Some are equipped with Volvo’s I-shift automatic gearbox – a factor which contributes to lower operating costs and optimum uptime.
Managing director Ian Wilson said: “The new Euro 5 engine range has performed well on fuel and Volvo residual values are strong when it comes to resale. Bringing all these aspects together, combined with minimal downtime, results in whole life costs that are lower than that of the competition.”
“In terms of vehicle buying and disposal and driver appeal, we select specifications that we think are going to most appeal in order to support future values. We go the extra mile to look after our drivers by providing top specification trucks which include features such as leather upholstery and fridges.”
