Britvic has awarded KN Drinks Logistics a ten-year contract to carry out secondary distribution along with vending machine replenishment. KN will handle deliveries to pubs, bars and food service outlets across the country. It will also replenish about 10,000 vending machines using a specialised fleet of vehicles, drivers and telemetry. In addition, it will provide shared user warehousing for Britvic products.
Britvic owns brands such as Pepsi, Robinsons, Tango and J2O. Dave Eslick, director of logistics for Britvic said: “As part of our focus on driving efficiency and reducing cost, we have chosen to outsource to KN, which will deliver the benefits we seek. We believe there are significant benefits to be gained from the shared-user distribution model, and there are notable synergies between the respective delivery bases of Britvic and KN in the UK.”
In the past year, Kuehne+Nagel has won business with Anheuser-Busch and Wells & Young.
