Seafield Logistics has opened a revamped distribution centre at Aylesham in Kent.
Over the past few months the site at Cooting Road in Aylesham has been redeveloped to provide modern warehousing facilities and increased capacity. The 50,000 sq ft warehouse replaces several old buildings that had been adapted for warehousing.
Mark Strong, Seafield’s managing director, said the location was of key strategic importance both in terms of transport and warehousing facilities.
“As a third party warehouse facility it is unique to Aylesham and the surrounding district”.
The new warehouse has a power floated floor for the storage and handling of goods. The warehouse has been fitted with a Silverline P90 racking system which gives many benefits such as allowing full weight capacity on deliveries, excellent visibility and increased aisle width; all of which enable Seafield to give customers a fast and efficient service.
