BT and NetDespatch have launched BT-NetDespatch Mobility a managed real-time mobile computing system. It provides a wireless data communication link between remote workers and those in the office, offering live access to the full range of NetDespatch hosted applications. For example, users will be able to capture signatures and provide real-time Proof of Delivery, using browser-equipped GPRS handheld computers.
“Mobile computing has long been seen as the answer to cutting costs, boosting productivity and improving customer service levels, but there have been significant issues which delay implementation. These include investment and running costs and robust data communications. With the launch of BT-NetDespatch Mobility these hurdles are overcome by providing immediate benefits via a fully-managed solution,” said Becky Clark, chief executive officer, NetDespatch.
