Food producer and distributor JJ Food Services has opted to buy a 33,000 sq ft design and build warehouse at Shepborough Development’s ISIS scheme at Agecroft Commerce Park in Manchester. Carl Dobbin & Co represented JJ Food Services while Savills and King Sturge acted for Shepborough.
It is anticipated the company will move to its new premises in spring 2008, joining existing occupiers Bunzl, Squirrel Storage, Securicor and Nimans.
Steve Johnson of King Sturge, joint agent with Savills on the scheme, said: “This last remaining plot had the capability to accommodate up to 4,645 sq m (50,000 sq ft), but JJ Food Services was attracted by the flexibility the developer could offer, coupled with the high specification of the surrounding units and competitive price compared to other nearby locations such as Trafford Park. There are only two units of 5,574 sq m (60,000 sq ft) and 6,503 sq m (70,000 sq ft) remaining, both of which are available on a freehold or leasehold basis and we are hopeful that, given current interest, further success will follow shortly.”
