The Olympic Delivery Authority has put out to tender the contract to run an off-site logistics centre next to the M11.
It is seeking pre-qualification submissions from organisations capable of operating the site which is designed to support and maximise the integration of the materials logistics strategy for the construction of the Olympic Park.
The M11 Logistics Centre is an off-site logistic facility that is required on a temporary basis to enable effective, efficient and sustainable transport of materials, goods, equipment and people to the Olympic Park site and other associated Olympic venues. It will be primarily a lorry holding/marshalling facility and will act as a throttle to control the flow of road deliveries to the Olympic Park.
This procurement relates to the operational activities of this facility during Olympic Park construction phase only.
The ODA has also started looking for supplier who will be granted the right to supply fuel, lubricants and associated products to Olympic Park contractors.
