Mattel has chosen Geodis for a five-year contract for the management of its Northern European distribution centre. The site at Venlo in The Netherlands will start operations in March 2008.
Mattel’s products include Barbie, Fisher Price, Hot Wheels, and Matchbox. The site willl handle the reception of products from Mattel suppliers, as well as warehousing and order preparation for Northern Europe.
“In addition to the existing distribution services we provide to Mattel in France and Italy, we are pleased to extend the scope of our operations to the management of the new European Distribution centre,” said Jean-Louis Demeulenaere of Geodis.
