Innovate Logistics is launching a range of ambient services to complement its temperature controlled operations.
Initially, it will roll out its new offering across five existing depots: Adwick, Seaham, Scunthorpe, Aston and Bardon. The latter is an automated, 750,000 sq ft facility.
As well as building more capacity into existing sites, further centres are planned for the future. A complete 3PL service incorporating co-packing, case picking and storage is available and a core fleet of 50 new ambient vehicles – both curtainsiders and box-vans – will ensure a good distribution reach.
Mike Lane has been appointed managing director of the ambient division which is already working with companies such as Tesco and Nestle.
Pete Osborne, chief executive of UK and Europe, said: “The time is now right to complete our armoury and take the market by storm with a sophisticated, customer-focused ambient supply chain solution. Offering storage and distribution across all temperature regimes will make us the provider of choice.”
