Kuehne + Nagel has opened a 12,500 sq m warehouse in St Petersburg replacing a smaller facility.
The facility, in the Shushary suburb, is designed to serve customers from the FMCG, electronics and retail industries. K+N offers a range of storage, distribution and value adding services.
Facilities include round-the-clock guarding, security and advanced fire suppression systems, 11 loading docks, and Kuehne + Nagel’s global warehouse management system.
Managing director Clemens Abt said: “With its dynamic economy and strong consumer market, St Petersburg is a strategic logistics location. This new facility will support us in our short and medium term development plans to offer our customers state-of-the-art warehousing infrastructure across Russia.”|
Kuehne + Nagel has almost 90,000 sq m of warehouse space under management in Russia.
