The Freight Transport Association has extended its training programme to include a diploma in management. The four-week residential course is aimed at middle managers in transport looking to develop their skills and further their careers.
The course is based on the National Occupational Standards for Management and Leadership and has level five accreditation under the National Qualifications Framework for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and level nine on the Scottish qualifications framework.
On completion of the course, a recognised qualification will be awarded by the Chartered Management Institute. There are no specific entry requirements but candidates are likely to have a CPC, a certificate in management or several years’ experience at supervisory or management level.
It will be offered on a residential basis in the Kent area in four separate weekly blocks.
