Golf brand Srixon Sports Europe has chosen Import Services to handle its logistics.
Import Services said that by moving logistics operations to Southampton, it would shorten Srixon’s supply chain by five working days and improve cash flow by holding stock under bond until distributed throughout the UK and Europe.
“We wanted to streamline and enhance the visibility of our supply chain from production to customer and remove the complexity of inland distribution centres which had incurred unnecessary cost,” said Julian Palmer, finance director at Srixon.
“To achieve this we selected Import Services, which has three distribution centres within shunting distance of Southampton container port; the first major container port of call for vessels carrying UK and north European cargo from the Far East.”
