A plan for a 200,000 sq ft employment and distribution scheme at Vantage Park, Grantham, has been submitted to South Kesteven Council by developer Steeple Court.
The proposal includes a 100,000 sq ft distribution warehouse known as Vantage 100 as well as nine light industrial/warehouse units of between 5,250 and 18,000 sq ft together with two self-contained office buildings of 2,600 sq ft each.
It is proposed that work on the development will commence in early 2008 with the units being available for occupation from the summer of 2008 onwards.
Nick Dawes of Brown & Co said: “There has been very little industrial new build in the Grantham and surrounding areas for sometime. This is a long awaited opportunity for businesses and investors to acquire new well located freehold units.”
James Keeton of joint agents King Sturge added: “Grantham has a good level of labour supply and low operational costs as compared to the M1 corridor and we anticipate good levels of demand from a cross-section of occupiers both locally based and national ones.”
Vantage 100 will benefit from 14m eaves, 12 loading doors, a large secure yard and good green credentials.
Brown & Co and King Sturge are joint agents.
