A consortium of public sector organisations, including the City of Edinburgh Council, Midlothian Council, East Lothian Council and NHS Lothian have joined forces and agreed terms to pre-let a warehouse at Prestonfield Park in Edinburgh. The 25,000 sq ft unit called Block G has been built by Prestonfield Development Company, a joint venture between J Smart & Co and the Walker Group Scotland.
The annual rental will be £150,000 (£6 per sq ft) for a 15-year lease term with five-year reviews. Construction has commenced on the unit, which is scheduled to be available this autumn. The unit will be used by the four organisations as a joint storage, maintenance and cleaning facility for disabled equipment.
