A 102,000 sq ft distribution warehouse is to be developed by St Modwen on its 32-acre Quedgeley West Business Park, Gloucester, to store Dyson vacuum cleaners.
Transport company CM Downton, which has a contract with Dyson, is set to amalgamate two of its existing warehouses in the region as part of its expansion plans. The new warehouse will be built within half a mile of Downton’s head office in Moreton Valance, which employs over 400 staff.
A further 120,000 sq ft of largely speculative distribution/industrial space is under construction within Phase 2, with 47,000 sq ft having already been pre-let and 60,000 sq ft due for completion in April. The park is only a quarter of a mile from Junction 12 M5. Around eight acres remain in the final Phase 4 of the park, with design and build opportunities available from 10,000 sq ft to 150,000 sq ft.
