Kab Seating has chosen Ceva Logistics to manage international shipping of freight to and from the UK. Ceva also takes control of Kab Seating’s UK collection and distribution activities.
Kab Seating is part of the Construction division of CVG and it supplies seats to the commercial, construction, agricultural, industrial, mining, bus/coach and mobility sectors. Kab Seating has developed a world-wide distribution network. It also has operations in China, North America, Sweden, Belgium, Australia, North America and France. The Kab Seating UK headquarters employs more than 700 people and covers an area of 21,000 square metres.
Ceva’s service includes supplier liaison and collections, and distribution of products to Kab Seating’s UK customer base. The contract will operate from KAB Seating’s manufacturing plant in Northampton, where Ceva operates a number of shared-user and dedicated vehicles.
“Working with CEVA will enable us to introduce a number of efficiencies across our operation. We now have better visibility of our inbound supply chain and are able to extract maximum value from this flow of materials,” said Gordon Boyd, president CVG Global Construction.
