Dürkopp Fördertechnik has developed DStore, a warehouse management system for garment handling, storage and distribution centres.
DStore manages goods from receipt to dispatch and has been designed to handle more than 250,000 garments per day.
Incoming goods can be registered automatically or manually, and once verified against a dispatch note will be allocated a storage area by the system or manually by the store operator.
When an item is ordered DStore will review available stock, before issuing full picking instructions, including stock pick locations, articles and quantities.
On arrival in dispatch the system will do a final accuracy check before updating the host system with the revised stock data.
The system is already operating in the distribution centres of a number of leading retailers, including Inditex (Zara) and Mosaic (Oasis).
