Teleroute UK has introduced a series of services to help tackle freight theft and boost safety across the UK, following its collaboration with TruckPol, part of the ACPO Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service.
Teleroute checks all companies applying to become a member in person before adding them to its online database. A list of all its customers, including areas of expertise and contact details, is offered through the Transport Company Directory and it recently launched Freight Talk, an instant messaging service to help customers confirm details and complete jobs.
A detailed audit trail is also provided by the company’s transactional model, which has the capability to trace company details of anyone searching for freight on the system and can identify the IP address of any customers connected to Teleroute.
TruckPol collates statistical data and intelligence on all UK road freight crime.
