Forklift truck supplier Barloworld Handling has opened a purpose-built facility in Gateshead, relocating its Birtley branch.
The new facility is designed to offer customers a “total materials handling solution” including short term equipment hire, forklift truck driver training services and mobile service engineers.
The branch is one of six training centres Barloworld runs nationwide, offering a range of accredited forklift driver training courses.
The company is also offering local students the chance to join its Engineering Apprenticeship scheme, involving internal training and development to become a qualified materials handling technician.
