FKI Logistex has launched three new products at CeMAT 2008.
* The UniSort XV sliding shoe sorter (pictured), is designed to have a throughput rate of up to 24,000 cartons per hour, which according to FKI Logistex is almost double the industry standard.
It features automated calibration, monitoring and diagnostic testing in a bid to simplify maintenance procedures and reduce energy consumption.
* The second launch was for the company’s modular Logistex Case Conveyor Solutions, which has been built to lower environmental impact and reduce maintenance costs.
It features a patent-pending system that is designed to allow transfer band replacement in seconds rather than minutes, claims to have a 60 per cent reduction in moving parts, diverters that are 43 per cent faster, an 87 per cent reduction in sound power level on diverters and automatic belt tracking.
* Finally, the company has also launched new tilt-tray and cross belt sortation systems designed to be space and energy efficient, as well as minimising carbon dioxide emissions.
The new systems use the FKI Logistex’s Linear Synchronous Drive technology, which claims to save more than 164,000 kWh.
