Cruise shipping company Carnival UK has renewed its five year contract with Meachers Group, with the addition of an extra 12,000 sq ft of dedicated warehousing, which now totals 33,000 sq ft.
Meachers will provide freight forwarding services including picking and packing, transporting goods to Carnival’s Southampton-based ships and exporting supplies to liners around the world.
The company handles products such as toilet tissue, carpets, fabrics and engine spares at the facility, and as part of the deal will also be recruiting and training additional specialist personnel to join the team.
Carnival UK’s fleet comprises ships belonging to P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, Cunard and Ocean Village Holidays.
