NYK Logistics UK has appointed Steve Russell as sales director following a consultancy role at the company.
He will be responsible for new business acquisitions and the development of existing accounts, helping to build up key sectors including consumer goods, pharmaceutical and healthcare, non-food and food retailing, automotive and general manufacturing.
Prior to initially joining NYK, Russell was a director at the former Christian Salvesen business, where he worked for 19 years.
He has also been awarded a place on the NYK Board of Directors, reporting to chief executive officer Ian Veitch.
