Heritage International Transport, which already has a long-term lease and maintenance contract with TIP Trailer Services for 25 Schmitz refrigerated trailers, has entered into a new FleetCare deal for its remaining 15 non-TIP sourced reefer trailers.
The Dover-based company collects and delivers frozen, chilled and fresh food stuffs from across Europe and can now undertake trailer maintenance at TIP’s service points across the region.
TIP will also be responsible for maintenance of tyres, refrigeration systems, roadside breakdowns and MOT services.
* TIP Trailer Services is currently holding the final interviews for its recently launched 2008 UK Workshop Apprenticeship Scheme which begins in July.
The scheme will have an annual intake of eight students who after the three year programme will be presented with a City & Guilds approved NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance.
The initiative has been created as part of the company’s ongoing development of its FleetCare programme.
