Storage and retrieval systems company Kardex Remstar International Group is fully integrating Megamat with Kardex, following its purchase from Lista in 1999.
The two brands have been operating in parallel since the acquisition, so in order to strengthen its offering the company has picked the best products from each class across both businesses to form a single product range under the Kardex name.
A bigger emphasis will also be put on investment into research and development of new products as the company implements plans to expand.
The Megamat name will live on as a product name for the Vertical Carousel.
Following the merger, Kardex also hopes to offer quicker response times and less travel time per engineer due to improved geographical coverage and an increased number of trained specialists. In addition, the company plans to have a wider international sales and service offering.
