Tea and coffee merchant Taylors of Harrogate has signed a five-year storage and distribution contract with Bibby Distribution for an undisclosed sum.
Bibby has set up a dedicated operation at its Leeds facility and will run a daily factory collection shuttle from Harrogate to Leeds, where stock will be stored before being distributed across the UK.
The two companies have had an indirect long standing relationship through the Sainsbury’s PCC contract Bibby operates from its Yeadon site near Leeds.
Taylors of Harrogate was founded in 1886 and has been affiliated with Betty’s Café Tearooms since the 1960s. It produces products such as Yorkshire Tea, which has soft and hard water blends.
