Wincanton has chosen supply chain optimisation provider Manhattan Associates to standardise its European logistics infrastructure.
The project will focus initially on the deployment of Manhattan’s Warehouse Management for Open Systems software across 15 sites in the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and the UK.
Wincanton plans to roll out Manhattan’s Labour Management, Slotting Optimisation and Extended Enterprise Management systems in the future.
Conor Whelan, group IT director at Wincanton, said: “We’re seeing a rapidly changing landscape of customer requirements. Customers are operating in more and more countries and communicating in a growing number of languages, but are increasingly seeking consistency in the way they interact with us.”
