TDG has created a carbon ratings scheme to evaluate the environmental performance of different parts of its business, allowing the company to make internal comparisons and measure its overall progress.
The company is able to measure the carbon footprint of existing customers, such as Andrex-owner Kimberly-Clark, and produce a quarterly account to calculate improvement.
Ronald Daalmans, environmental manager for the supply chain services provider, said the scheme allows TDG to make an informed choice about alternative transport and storage solutions, helping it and its clients to lower their impact on the environment.
