Continental Express, the distribution arm of fresh produce supplier Stubbins Marketing, has fitted Scania OnBoard fleet management systems to its 35 Scania trucks.
The dashboard-mounted touch screen system is designed to allow operators to run their fleets more effectively and is based around three core elements: messaging to link a vehicle with its operating base; order process support to monitor vehicles and their jobs; and a driver log to record driver activity.
The Hertfordshire-based company runs 22 trucks internationally, predominantly to and from southern Spain and Holland, with the remaining 13 dedicated to national deliveries of fresh, chilled and ambient produce to supermarkets and the food service sector in the UK.
