Vacu-Lug Traction Tyres is launching a tyre fleet management system, in a move to drive down costs for fleet operators. The Vacu-Lug Fleet Management (VFM) system merges third-party tyre inspections into a single, web-based reporting format, and will help control the company’s own contracts and those of its clients.
Managing director Tim Hercock said companies using the system could expect a minimum saving of five to ten per cent.
The system is an internet-based service which enables the company to provide operators with fleet tyre management records.
Fleet inspection information is controlled via the company’s Inspector Link system. Inspection details are recorded and captured using a handheld unit and automatically uploaded directly to VFM on completion.
The system can also interface with other service providers’ own fleet inspection systems.
